Julian de Lusarreta has had an amazing 2025 so far in the US playing as the number 4 for Coca Cola. Together with teammates Gillian Johnston, Lorenzo Chavanne and Polito Pieres they have reached the fial of both the Gauntlet of Polo tournament's so far and have pushed the eventual winners to a 1 goal win on both counts. In the CV Whitney Cup they just lost out to La Dolfina/ Tamera and in the most recent USPA Gold Cup Final they pushed the match into overtime with an equalising goal only to lose out on a penalty in front of goal.
Julian has been pivotal in this team's success. He and Polito have perfected the art of the give and go, using this tactic to draw in defence, leave the ball behind and run up for the pass. This has resulted in many goals for the team. While he is playing the role of back for the team and as such is a fierce defender, his ability to run through the field and score is what makes him such an asset to the team.
