Player Insight Peke Gonzalez

Peke Gonzalez had an incredible season in the US winning the coveted USPA Gold Cup for the first time with Park Place where he played a vital role in the number 4 shirt. A new line up this year saw them move through initial teething problems to form a strong and comprehensive side who proved themselves tougher than some of the more established teams and this was in large part due to the role Peke played combining with team captain Hilario Ulloa.

The two played incredible unselfish polo which saw them work together with small interplays and clever passing to stretch the opposition and create space for sharp forward plays executed and finished by Peke. With Hilario generating plays from the middle, Peke was free to run up and score or stay back and ensure there was always a last man for any attacking plays.

Always aware of each teammate's position on the field, he excels at creating plays, dominating in throw ins before generating positive, attacking plays.
